This centre was started in 1924 and made a branch of the Mission in 1938.

Activities of the Mission centre :

A students’ home with 63 tribal boys.

A library and a reading room with 4250 books and 8
newspapers and periodicals.

Six coaching centres with 300 students in interior tribal areas.

A mobile medical unit, which treated 71,133 cases this year.

Religious activities : Regular religious classes, and celebration

of Durga Puja, Kali Puja, and birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy

Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious

personalities.

Welfare work by way of distribution of food, medicines, clothes, etc.

A culture centre for imparting moral education (18 boys).

About the Author: Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda (12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902) was an Indian saint, social reformer, and a great teacher of mankind. He was the foremost disciple of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Dev who is considered as the prophet of modern age. Swami Vivekananda was a towering spiritual personality, great thinker, orator and the prophet of universal harmony and progress.
