Started in 1975 in rented premises, the centre moved to its own permanent site in 1981 and conducted the following activities:
Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, observance of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other prophets and saints. National Youth Day, Ganesh festival, Saraswati Puja etc. are also duly observed. A beautiful spacious temple has been constructed to accommodate the increasing number of devotees.
Spiritual retreats, lectures and preaching work in and around Bengaluru continued as before.

Swami Vivekananda (12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902) was an Indian saint, social reformer, and a great teacher of mankind. He was the foremost disciple of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Dev who is considered as the prophet of modern age. Swami Vivekananda was a towering spiritual personality, great thinker, orator and the prophet of universal harmony and progress.
